Playing!

Allison and Gavin have really started to enjoy playing together. Allison isn't so good at sharing - she likes to take whatever toy Gavin has. Gavin doesn't seem to care when she does it!

Getting Ready For Work

Allison will be attending the air show in Toledo this April - so papaw and grammie thought she better have a special outfit to wear.

Andy has been working hard on his car, trying to get it ready for the 3rd of April when the track he races at is having a practice night! Will keep you updated on his racing throughout the year!

8 Months Old and MOVING!!

Allison figured out crawling last weekend and hasn't stopped since!! She now has two bottom teeth. She is trying her hardest to walk - she will as long as she has a hold of your fingers - but has not yet dared to let go!!

Caught Up!!!

Well I have finally gotten caught up on this "blogging" thing. I will try to get the site as up to date as possible.

7 Months Old

Allison got her first tooth and is trying her hardest to crawl. She also had her first "playdate."

6 Months Old

Allison didn't know what to think about her first snow!! The "trash" picture is what happens when she is "bad" at papaw and grammie's.

Our first Christmas

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Allison. She really enjoyed unwrapping the presents (she loved eating the paper). Just prior to Christmas Allison starting sitting for long periods of time on her own, as well as rolling over!

5 Months Old

We went our our first family vacation. We met our family from VA/TN in Gatlingburg - we stayed the weekend in a cabin together. Papaw, Grammie, and Uncle Michael's family were all there as well.

4 Months Old

Allison really enjoyed the fall! She is trying her hardest to sit up on her own - she does real well up against the furniture.

New member of the family

On September 16, 2008, we welcomced a new member to the family. My brother Michael and his wife welcomed their second son into the world - Gavin James.

3 Months Old

We took Allison for her first "professional" photo shoot!

1st and 2nd month

Allison and I got the opportunity to spend alot of time together before I had to return to work. We have set up a wonderful "daycare" arrangement - my mom, dad and grandma will be watching her during the week.

Allison Elizabeth Bowman's Arrival

I was induced on July 3, 2008 at 2:00 in the morning. We were told things would not start for probably 2-3 hours. In about 15 minutes the contractions started and they started full-force!! I was having contraction 2-3 mins apart. At about 9, Allison made it known that she was not happy - her heart rate became a little irregular - so they monitored us closely. The doctor then decided it was in our best interest to do a c-section. I was not progressing (0 cm) and Allison was only getting more distressed. At 11:00 am on July 3, 2008 - Allison Elizabeth Bowman graced us with her presence - weighing in at 9lbs. 1oz. and measuring 19.5".

New Beginning

On October 19, 2007 - Andy and I got news that changed our lives forever. We were expecting our first child. I had a rather easy pregnancy - outside of being quite cranky at the end!! (Andy got the most of this!) In February we found out that we were having a baby girl. This is the main reason for the start of this blog - so we can keep all our family and friends informed on what she is up to.

Our home

We bought a house just outside of Lebanon just shortly before we married. It is nice because we are within about 20 minutes from all our family. We live only 10 doors down from my grandma - so we knew quite a few of the neighbors before we even moved in.

How it began...............

Andy and I met when we were 12 and 13 years old. It was love at first sight. We dated off and on throughout our teen years. We became an official couple July 8, 2000 and have been together ever since. We got engaged in October of 2002 and married the following fall, September 20, 2003.
