Our Smartie Pants!

Allison has recently taken her 2-step and turned it in to a 5-step. She is up to walking 5 steps at a time - but like the 2-step she gets to excited and falls!

Her vocabulary has been enhanced. She not only can say the following words - but she say them at the right time to the right object:

Dog Pig

Baby Read

Up Go

I am hoping to catch either of these events on video - if I do I will post!!

Final numbers are in!

For those of you who didn't know - I participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life this year. I was walking in honor of my cousin Tammy, as well as in memory of others that I have lost in my life to cancer. Our team goal was $10,000 and at 12:05 on the night of the relay I got the call that we hit our goal - $10,500 with funds still coming. As of Tuesday, our final number is $12,000!! Thank you to all those that donated. I am hoping to participate again next year.

These were 2 of the 5 cakes I made for our cake walk - the second one is chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting.

Play Date!

This past Sunday we watch Gavin all afternoon so Cody could go out for his birthday (they went 4-wheeling). Allison and Gavin had a fun time together. I also took a walk together up to granny's - I wish I could have gotten that on video - the 2 of them chatted to each other the whole way there and back.

What happens when you turn your back on a 10 month old???

Allison recently realized she can reach things on the table - so I have been making sure to push things to the middle of the table. Well apparently I didn't push this cake in far enough. Allison got her hands on a 1/4 sheet pan full of chocolate batter!

Two-Stepper

Allison took 2 steps on her own and has done it quite a few times since. She gets far too excited and falls before she can take any more steps. Hope to catch her on camera soon.

Trip to the Park!

We took Allison to the park for the first time! She really enjoyed the slide.
